USER RESPONSIBILITY & REGISTRATION
If you use the Website as a Registered User, you confirm that you are competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. ARTEVA may terminate your account and refuse access if it is discovered that you are under 18 years of age. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under them. You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information. If any information you provide is untrue, inaccurate, or incomplete — or we have reasonable grounds to suspect so — ARTEVA may suspend, terminate, or block your account and refuse access.
As a condition of purchase, you permit us to send you administrative and promotional communications by email, SMS, and WhatsApp, including order updates, product news, and offers. You may opt out of promotional messages at any time using the unsubscribe link. Offers made in promotional messages are subject to change at ARTEVA's sole discretion.
You undertake not to host, display, upload, publish, transmit, or share any information on the Website that: belongs to another person and to which you have no right; is grossly harmful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, libellous, invasive of privacy, hateful, or racially or ethnically objectionable; harms minors in any way; infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary right; violates any law in force; misleads the recipient about the origin of a message or is grossly offensive or menacing; impersonates another person; contains viruses or harmful code; or threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security, or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign states, or public order. All payments must be made only through ARTEVA's official website and its authorised payment gateway. ARTEVA will not be liable if you make any payment to any individual's personal account (via UPI, PhonePe, Paytm, WhatsApp, or otherwise) outside our official channels.
BILLING
The price shown on the Website is the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) for that product, inclusive of applicable local taxes in India. Additional taxes may apply depending on the delivery destination. ARTEVA reserves the right to collect any tax, levy, duty, or surcharge it is required to incur. Shipping charges may also apply as set out in our Shipping Policy.
E-GIFT CARD & STORE CREDIT POLICY
E-Gift Cards purchased on our website are delivered by email; physical copies are not sent separately. Gift Cards purchased in INR can be redeemed on the online store only. The value of a card cannot be partially redeemed across multiple transactions using the same code. Gift Cards cannot be used to buy additional Gift Cards and cannot be redeemed for cash. Where an order exceeds the card value, the balance must be paid by debit card, credit card, or net banking.
Store credit issued by ARTEVA (including credit issued against approved returns) can be redeemed on our online store only. ARTEVA is not responsible for any Gift Card or credit lost, stolen, or redeemed without the owner's permission. All Gift Cards and store credit are valid for six (6) months from the date of issue. GST becomes applicable on redemption, based on the underlying supply. These policies may change at any time without prior notice.
ORDER CANCELLATION BY ARTEVA
There may be occasions when a validly placed order cannot be processed or dispatched. ARTEVA reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including limited stock, inaccuracies in product or pricing information, issues identified during fraud checks, or quality defects. We may require additional verification before accepting an order and will contact you if all or part of your order is cancelled. Where payment has already been charged, cancelled amounts will be refunded to the original payment source or issued as store credit, as applicable.
SHIPPING & PROCESSING
Shipping and processing charges compensate ARTEVA for the cost of processing, handling, packing, and delivering your order. We offer complimentary Standard (Surface) shipping and Express (Air) shipping at a flat ₹2,000. Same-day delivery is available within Kolkata on eligible orders. We do not offer Cash on Delivery. PAYMENT
We accept major credit and debit cards, UPI, and net banking through a secure third-party payment gateway. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from: lack of authorisation for a transaction; exceeding a limit set by your bank; any payment issue arising from a transaction; or decline of a transaction for any reason. All payments are made against the MRP displayed and are subject to the terms of the third-party payment gateway. Before shipping, we may request supporting documents (such as a government-issued ID) to verify ownership of the payment instrument, to help ensure a safe shopping environment.
DELIVERY
ARTEVA endeavours to deliver products within the estimated time frame but does not guarantee it, and the contract shall not be treated as repudiated if delivery of one or more products is delayed. If you fail to take delivery, ARTEVA may at its discretion charge additional shipping costs.
LOSS IN TRANSIT, RETURNS & REFUNDS
ARTEVA endeavours to deliver defect-free products. As each piece is handcrafted, an item does not qualify for return unless it is delivered damaged or is incorrect. Any damaged, defective, or incorrect item must be reported to ARTEVA within [24/48] hours of receipt, accompanied by a continuous unboxing video recorded from the moment the sealed package is opened. Claims without this video, or received after the stated window, will not qualify for return (except where expressly covered by an applicable product warranty).
Where a return is approved, ARTEVA will arrange a reverse pickup at no cost to you, and the refund will be issued as store credit only, valid for six (6) months from the date of issue. Slight variations in colour, texture, and finish are inherent to handcrafted and mouth-blown pieces and are not considered defects. ARTEVA holds sole discretion in determining whether a return or refund is warranted. For details, please read our Return & Refund Policy.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
ARTEVA endeavours to make product descriptions as accurate as possible but does not warrant that they are complete, reliable, current, or error-free. As our pieces are handcrafted, minor variations from the images and descriptions are natural. If a product is not as described, your sole remedy is to contact ARTEVA within [24/48] hours of receipt, and ARTEVA reserves the right to provide a resolution at its discretion.
COLOUR & IMAGE DISCLAIMER
The colours you see in the images may vary slightly from the actual product, as every screen has a different colour resolution. We edit our images to be as true to life as possible, but the actual colour may differ across monitors and phone screens. ARTEVA will not accept returns based on such perceived colour differences.
PRODUCT COMPLIANCE
Products sold on the Website are procured or manufactured in accordance with applicable laws of India and conform to the required industry standards.
PRICING & INACCURACY DISCLAIMER
Prices displayed on the Website may differ from those in physical stores and are subject to change without prior notice. Prices reflect MRP and do not include shipping or additional taxes where applicable. WARRANTIES & LIABILITY

BREACH
If you are found to be in breach of these Terms or our Privacy Policy, or if we are unable to verify information you provide, or if we believe your actions may create legal liability, we may — without prior notice — limit your activity, remove your information, suspend or terminate your account, and/or refuse you access to the Website. We reserve the right to recover any amounts due from you and to take legal action, including referral to the appropriate authorities.
SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
WAIVER
ARTEVA's failure to enforce any provision at any time shall not be a waiver of that provision or of its right to enforce these Terms subsequently.
FORCE MAJEURE
ARTEVA shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations to the extent caused by an event of Force Majeure, including war, civil commotion, strike, governmental action, accident, epidemic, pandemic, or any other event beyond ARTEVA's reasonable control. Lack of funds shall not constitute Force Majeure.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION & GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and the legal relationship between you and ARTEVA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising in connection with your use of the Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Kolkata / your jurisdiction city].
